Caring for an elevator is crucial. Elevator accidents can be very serious, but thanks to proper inspections, they are fairly rare. Even though this is the case, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be attentive to the state of your elevator. Usually, you will only find elevators in buildings that are several stories high, but it is possible that the elevator was installed to help senior citizens gain access to a second floor, or for the purpose of transporting freight.
You will find that your best warning system for possible elevator trouble are your tenants. They ride in them every day, and if anything is out of the ordinary, whether it is a sound or the way the ride feels, they will usually let you know. Just like with everything else, preventive maintenance will save you a lot of money in repairs later on, and it will keep your tenants happy and safe.
